Our client located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has been serving the community for over 20 years. As an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited facility, the hospital is committed to delivering high-quality medical care for pets and an exceptional experience for pet owners.

The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including preventive wellness and illness care, early disease detection, vaccinations, parasite control, spay and neuter procedures, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, physical and cold laser therapy, acupuncture, ultrasounds, endoscopy, digital radiology, microchipping, and pet boarding. Additionally, they provide home delivery services and wellness plans.

The dedicated team at the hospital comprises veterinarians, technicians, and support staff trained to the highest standards, ensuring that patients receive the best preventive and healing care. The hospital’s medical director. has been with the company for over 10 years and primarily works in the Emergency department, focusing on small animals.

The Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including laser surgery capabilities ,digital dental and whole-body radiology, onsite endoscopy and ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, an intensive care unit, and an isolation ward. These resources enable the hospital to provide comprehensive medical and surgical treatments for a variety of species, such as dogs, cats, fish, pocket pets, pot-bellied pigs, rabbits, reptiles, and zoo animals. ​

About this role:

As a veterinary professional, you already have a pretty good idea of the day-to-day requirements of being a talented Emergency Veterinarian. Here are some of the essential skills that we are seeking that are particularly relevant to this opportunity:

Advanced life support: CPR, airway management, emergency meds, vital sign monitoring

Fracture stabilization: Managing orthopedic emergencies, splinting, casting, external fixators

Neurological assessment and management: Handling seizures, head trauma, spinal injuries

Surgical skills: Performing emergency surgeries, wound repair, foreign body removal

Toxicology management: Recognizing, managing toxic exposures, administering antidotes
