Additionally, the rehabilitation team—including certified hydrotherapists—ensures optimal recovery and improved quality of life for their patients.

About the Role

As a Senior Veterinary Nurse in Emergency & Critical Care, you will play a vital role in managing critical cases, supporting emergency procedures, and leading patient care during night shifts. This position is ideal for a skilled veterinary nurse with a passion for emergency medicine and a desire to mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Triage and assist with emergency case admissions.
✔️ Monitor anaesthesia and recovery for critical patients.
✔️ Provide intensive care support for ICU patients.
✔️ Take radiographs and assist in diagnostic imaging.
✔️ Restrain and handle patients safely for treatments.
✔️ Assist in surgical preparation, bandaging, and postoperative recovery.
✔️ Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding patient status.
✔️ Participate in rounds, ongoing learning, and professional development.
✔️ Mentor junior nurses and patient care assistants.

Who You Are

✅ Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Veterinary Technology or relevant nursing certification.
✅ Experience: At least 5 years in the veterinary industry, and ideally leadership experience preferred.
✅ Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
